Job Title: Fire Safety Consultant

Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 per annum

Location: Work from home with daily travel to various client sites. Primary locations include South Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire, and London, with occasional travel to other UK regions such as Cornwall, Kent, Scotland, and Wales.

About Us: Due to rapid growth J.S.O Fire Safety Consultants are currently recruiting a Fire Safety Consultant to join our expanding team. We are based in South Yorkshire but have clients nationwide.  

Job Description: This role is to provide clients with expert fire consultancy services, including fire risk assessments, evacuation plan design, fire extinguisher maintenance, fire safety plan reviews, and client account management. Work from home with daily travel to various client sites as required. Primary locations include South Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire, and London, with occasional travel to other UK regions such as Cornwall, Kent, Scotland, and Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fire risk assessments across various property types, including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and construction.

Create digital Fire Safety & Evacuation Plans.

Provide fire safety advice to clients to support their ongoing fire safety commitments.

Conduct site scoping visits ahead of fire alarm or emergency lighting installations and perform audit visits to monitor sub-contractors on our sites.

Attend sites nationwide due to the site-specific nature of our risk assessments.

Manage client relationships and contribute to business development.

Perform any other related duties as required by business need

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 year’s experience in Fire Risk Assessment.

Minimum of 1 year's experience in Portable Extinguisher Maintenance.

Fire Risk Assessor (5 Day) certification.

BAFE Certificate in Portable Fire Extinguisher Maintenance.

Ability to use Microsoft office packages

Preferred Skills:

Membership of IFSM or equivalent professional body at technician level or higher.

Membership of IOSH at technician level or higher.

Must have own vehicle – mileage paid

Full UK Driving license
