Description
Our 9kg Monnex powder fire extinguisher is a specialist extinguisher designed for high-risk Class B and Class C fire environments where rapid knockdown is critical. It is commonly specified for locations such as airports, heliports, fuel depots, petrochemical areas and any site storing or handling flammable liquids and flammable gases, particularly where standard ABC powder may not be the preferred solution for certain chemical fire challenges.
Monnex powder is formulated to break into very fine particles when exposed to intense heat, allowing it to spread over a larger area and interrupt flame chemistry quickly. This makes it well suited to high-risk applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and more challenging industrial chemicals, where fast flame suppression and reduced escalation are priorities.
Please note: This extinguisher is supplied uncommissioned. To ensure compliance with UK fire safety expectations and to confirm it has been correctly installed, identified and made ready for service, commissioning by a competent person is required. We can provide commissioning and installation services as part of our extinguisher supply package.
